Firmware finally upgraded on Three Nokia E63 to 200.21.012

I finally made the decision over the weekend to upgrade my phone to the new (not so new now) firmware for the Nokia E63, version 200.21.012. Although in an earlier post, I decided not to upgrade, I changed my mind when my phone kept dropping out in the middle of a call. Rather than throw the phone at the wall and achieve nothing from that, I backed up my data using PC Suite and then upgraded the firmware also using PC Suite. I then restored the backup to my phone and it seems to have fixed the calling problem. I am not noticing any other changes to my phone yet but will keep you posted. How did your Nokia E63 upgrade to 200.21.012 go? Or haven't you upgraded yet?

To check your current firmware version, type *#0000# on your phone.

  2. Hi, has the 400.21.013 made it out there yet? the 200.21.012 was good, but I feel the 400 is much snappier, haven't really tested out the call quality as I rarely call that much anymore, though in a 30 minute all yesterday I experienced no problems at all.

  3. Thanks Stephen M, no it has not reached us yet. Three takes ages to get new firmware out to its users. Anyone else have experience upgrading their Nokia E63 to 400.21.013?

  4. I upgraded my E63-2 to 400.21.013 last week - wasn't really having any issues prior to, and frankly can't tell much of a difference with the new firmware. Certainly haven't had any problems with it. Perhaps a minor speed increase, but that may be due more to the fact that upgrading forced me to clear out some of the junk apps on the phone and do reinstalls of others.

  5. I'm in the U.S., btw, using my unlocked E63 on AT&T. Upgrade to new firmware via the Nokia Software Updater.
