Hows your Nokia E63 reception?
I have found reception with 3 a little frustrating but I cannot figure out whether it is the carrier or the phone. I would often experience drop outs and broken reception, to the point that I am tempted to see if the Nokia E63 flies. As you are all mainly E63 users, I thought it would be interesting to get your feedback. How do you find the phone reception on the Nokia E63? what is the most common issues you have? if you would like to comment on a phone that is not the Nokia E63, please ensure that you state the model.

Unfortunately I already live in a bad coverage area. Reception is always switching between roaming and 3. Often when I have 3 reception it is so poor I cant use the phone anyway till it drops off and picks up roaming again.
ReplyDeleteCant say it is the phone as been the same with every handset we have had.

ReplyDeleteI've just bougth a e63 recently and changed my carrier to the best carrier available in my town and I'm impressed with its reception and signal quality. My signal bar is always on the top even in places where my last cell(sony ericsson w302) just got offline. I can send SMS while in my building's elevator!
ReplyDeleteI think the carrier is playing an important role here.
i have the same problem, i am also a e63 user on 3, in london, have had the phone for half a year or so already, have only started experiencing problems in the last couple of weeks, extremely frustrating, do let me know if you find a solution, same here as i cannot figure out whether its to do withthe network or the phone i am not sure who to seek help from...!
ReplyDeleteUnluckily I previously live in a bad coverage area and I have 3 receptions, it is so poor.

Wife has the E63 and I use an LG/GD330 and her Nokia will only get 2 bars when I get 5 in the same spot indoors or out. The Nokia drops calls constantly. She has the latest OS update but no difference in reception quality. Provider is AT&T.
ReplyDeleteI live in a poor AT&T reception area. My family have used a Motorola Razr flip, an AT&T/HTC Tilt, a Nokia e63, a HTC Pure, LG Shine, and a older Nokia phone. Only the Nokia's had consistently good reception.
